Palin’s Foreign Policy Record

It’s worse than I thought.

Beyond her incomprehensible remarks to Time on Iraq policy two weeks ago, the Center for U.S. Global Engagement, a serious bipartisan organization, has posted all of Sarah Palin’s comments they could find that had anything to do with foreign policy and international development on its website. You can find them here.

Update: The Center apparently missed two other statements by Palin relevant to Iraq policy — it was a war over “energy resources” that Alaska would be happy to provide — which can be found at the thinkprogress site here.

  1. There’s no doubt that beyond chutzpah and a little glamor (now wearing thin with motherhood and middle age), this lady offers nothing to the Republican ticket. The latest news reports seem to indicate that she was chosen by McCain vitually on the spur of the moment — another example of recklessness on his part?

The betting in this corner is that she will not wear well with either the media or (non-evangelical) voters, and that despite initial kid-glove treatment, she’s likely to be torn up by the rigors of a national campaign.
